Breakfast. Morning visit of the Baroque Bruckenthal Museum, the first museum in the country, which shelters a great collection of Romanian and European paintings, then a walking tour to discover romantic sides of the city. Free time for lunch in the Old Center. In the afternoon the visit to the ASTRA Museum will prove an excellent encounter with the Transylvanian country life style. Evening at leisure.
In the center of Mühlbach (Sebes) you visit the Evangelic Church and at noon you will be in Alba Iulia, a town of great importance for the Romanian nation. In the afternoon you will be in Cluj Napoca taking an orientation tour on the way to the hotel.
The morning walking tour of Cluj will include the most representative sights of the town, namely St. Michael’s Evangelical Cathedral & the Orthodox Cathedral. Then you’ll proceed to the place where Dracula was born, the only still inhabited Medieval site: Sighisoara/Schaßburg.
In Sighisoara/Schaßburg the morning tour will commence with the visit of the Clock Tower, the Weapons Museum and the infamous Torture Chamber. Then you’ll be on the way to Brasov/Kronstadt. An orientation tour in the afternoon will prove an enchanting experience. Overnight in Poiana Brasov.
Breakfast. The morning tour of Brasov will include: the historical center of Brasov/Kronstadt, St. Nicholas’s Church with the First Romanian School, and the Black Church. You’ll travel then to Bran to visit Dracula’s castle. Return to Poiana Brasov. Evening at leisure.
From Poiana Brasov you will be driving west to Fagaras town. We’ll make a stop to visit the fortified castle which still exists here & is one of the best preserved sites of this kind in Europe. A last romantic walk in Sibiu/Hermannstadt and you will have time enough for souvenir shopping and an included farewell dinner.
